Your apps.
Your routing rules.

Keep working in a supported app. Aventail™ Connect connects its model requests to Aventail™ Link, where your rules determine which supported destination may run them.

Claude DesktopChat and Cowork

Connect model requests from Chat and Cowork under your routing rules.

Claude Code

Bring supported model requests from your coding workflow under the same routing rules.

OpenCode

Connect your OpenCode workflow to the models and destinations your policy allows.

Model requests.
Your rules.

Aventail™ Connect is inside Aventail™ Link. The runtime applies routing rules locally and selects a supported, allowed execution destination.

  • Local model
  • Peer Aventail™ Link machine
  • Approved hosted API
This flow describes model requests, not all app telemetry. A peer is another approved, reachable machine running Aventail Link. Model support, app capabilities, connectivity and policy determine which destinations can be used.

A few practical questions.

How is Aventail™ Connect different from Aventail™ Link?

Aventail™ Connect is a feature inside the Aventail™ Link runtime. It connects supported apps to the runtime, which runs supported models and applies your routing rules.

How does Aventail™ compare with Ollama?

Ollama helps you run models and connect supported apps. Aventail™ adds central management across multiple devices, with routing to peer devices and hosted destinations available in beta. Read our full comparison.

Will every app and model work?

No. Support depends on the app and the model capabilities it needs. The integrations listed here are supported, but that does not mean every model supports every app feature.

What if my app is missing?

Send an integration request below. We review requests to understand what people need; a request is not a promise of delivery.

Can I use Claude Code or OpenCode with confidential source code?

Supported model requests can stay on your device under a local-only policy. Serve a suitable model in Aventail™ Link and enable the coding app in Connected Apps. Permit only On device, with no peer, provider connection, fallback or inherited route that allows remote execution. If local serving is unavailable, the request fails without an external fallback. Before using confidential code, test with harmless code and check the observed destination in Aventail™ Control’s Recent usage. Review the app’s file permissions, storage and other network activity separately. Set up and verify local-only routing.

Does Aventail™ Connect control every connection an app makes?

It governs model requests routed through the runtime. An app’s other network activity is controlled by its own settings.
